Principle
Purchasing a licence does not generally transfer ownership of the image.
A right of use is granted within the scope of the selected configuration.
Binding are exclusively the configuration selected during the order process,
the price shown in the cart and the order and licence confirmation.
1. Principles
- All images are protected by copyright.
- Without a valid licence, any use is prohibited, including web, social media, print and advertising.
- Licences apply per image and are generally non-transferable, except in the case of buyout according to section 4.
- There are no implied rights. Uses not expressly licensed are prohibited.
- Usage rights apply only after full payment has been received.
2. Pricing in the configurator
The price per image is determined in the order process through the licence configurator.
It guides through all licence-relevant parameters.

3. Entry price
The lowest entry price usually results from private and narrow usage,
for example home wall art, no publication, limited territory, limited duration and no exclusivity.
The decisive amount is always the price per image calculated during the order process
and shown in the cart.
4. Buyout photo / series
Buyout is intended for cases in which the customer wants maximum scope of use:
exclusive, worldwide, unlimited duration, all media, including editing and sublicensing.
Buyout rules
- With buyout, all other licence parameters are automatically set to clear buyout values.
- Buyout photo: factor 10 applied to the base price of the selected licence configuration.
- Buyout series: factor 20 applied to the base price of the selected licence configuration.
- After a successful buyout, identical or very similar motifs from the same series are no longer offered.
- Buyout photo: applies to the selected image.
- Buyout series: applies to the full series according to offer or confirmation.
- Sublicensing: permitted with buyout.
- Third-party rights: personality rights, trademark rights, event rights or house rights must be clarified by the customer.
5. Quality and photographic principle
- RMU Foto stands for nature photography from Switzerland.
- Slogan: Natürlicher geht nicht.
- The photographs are generally 100% unedited.
- Black-and-white photos originate from originally colour photographs.
- Delivery is made in the quality selected during the licensing process.
The option “image size / quality” defines the agreed usage scope and delivery.
6. Examples
- Private use: for example wall art at home, no publication, price according to configuration.
- Web / social media: price depends on media, reach, territory, duration and exclusivity.
- Print: price depends on print reach, print run, territory, duration and image size.
- Advertising / campaigns: price depends on media mix, reach, territory, duration and exclusivity.
- Buyout: maximum rights and exclusivity, therefore a higher price.
7. General prohibitions without additional agreement
- Transfer, sublicensing or use by third parties unless agreed in writing or selected as buyout.
- Provision in download areas or asset systems with access for third parties.
- Upload to stock platforms, image databases or AI training / generator systems without written agreement.

- Removal or circumvention of watermarks or copyright notices, if present.
8. Copyright notice
Where technically and practically possible, the following credit must be displayed:

9. Quality / printing / upscaling
The native resolution of the files varies depending on the photograph.
Larger print formats may require upscaling, which may be visible depending on the motif.
- For custom sizes, additional information such as dimensions or DPI may be required.
- RMU Foto does not owe any specific printing result outside its own control.
10. Custom sizes / preparation
For custom sizes or licence-dependent preparation, delivery may take place only after individual
