Session cookie
For security reasons it cannot be read by JavaScript. It normally ends with the browser session.
1. Technically necessary session
The PHP session supports the website’s security state, especially CSRF protection for forms. Without this session, protected order and form functions cannot be used reliably.
The session cookie normally contains only a technical identifier and not a complete order or licence configuration. The actual cart data remains in local browser storage until the order is submitted.
2. Cart and licence configuration
Local storage makes it possible to move between the portfolio, a series and the cart without immediately losing the selection. Each cart item is uniquely assigned by series and image code.
When an order is actively submitted, cart and licence data is transmitted to the server together with the customer data entered and checked again there.
3. Security checks
Time checks, CSRF tokens, honeypot fields, rate limits and technical plausibility checks are not advertising trackers. They are used to prevent automated, manipulated or abusive orders.
When an order is submitted, additional technical data such as IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp and a simple browser value may be processed. Details are provided in the privacy policy.
4. No analytics or marketing cookies
The current website does not include web analytics, retargeting, advertising or social-media pixels. The storage functions described here are not used for personalised advertising or audience measurement.
If analytics, map, video, payment or marketing services are added later, the cookie and privacy notices must be updated before activation.
5. External connections are not automatically cookies
Google Fonts
The current header loads the Inter typeface through fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. The browser establishes an external network connection through which the IP address, time, browser information and requested files may be processed. This connection is separate from the RMU Foto cookies and LocalStorage keys.
Facebook and Instagram
The footer contains ordinary external links. No embedded feeds or social-media tracking pixels are active on rmufoto.ch. A connection to the relevant platform is established only when the link is clicked.
6. Deleting, blocking and functional consequences
Cookies and LocalStorage can be deleted or blocked through the browser’s website-data settings. Deletion removes the local cart and licence selection on this device. Orders already submitted to the server are not deleted by this action; a privacy request is required for those records.

Open privacy, cookies or website data in the browser settings.
2. Find rmufoto.ch
Select the entry for rmufoto.ch or www.rmufoto.ch.
3. Remove data
Delete cookies and local storage; the selection must then be created again.
7. Legal framework and transparency
This notice supplements the privacy policy and explains the purpose of the storage technologies used and the options for deleting or blocking them.
There is no optional in-site choice for technically necessary functions.
