I come from the Emmental region in Switzerland – a landscape of hills, forests, changing light and quiet moments. That is where my connection to nature began.
Since childhood, I have enjoyed being outdoors. With RMU Foto, I show nature as I experience it: calm, honest and without artificial exaggeration.
I am not only interested in spectacular subjects, but above all in the atmosphere behind them. A sunrise, mist over a meadow, an animal in its habitat or a brief moment in the right light – these scenes are at the heart of my nature photography.
I photograph with patience. Often that means getting up early, waiting for a long time, accepting the weather and staying attentive. Not every image can be planned. Many of my favourite photographs happen when I am outside, stay calm and give nature the space it needs.
The photo on this page reflects that feeling: not standing in the foreground, but being part of the landscape.
My photography is calm, clear and reduced. Black stands for concentration and depth. Gold stands for light, warmth and special moments. Together they describe quite well how I see my images.
